Prayer requests: During the Offering, please place your prayer requests in the white basket rather than in the offering plates.
Pastor’s Classes: Pastor’s classes for persons considering church membership are held on the Wednesday before the second Sunday of each month. If you are interested in meeting with the pastor please call the office.
Sunday School: for children PreK – 12th grade begins today. All may go upstairs for instruction following the Lord’s Prayer.

For all boards: Please remember to give copies of monthly minutes to the church secretary and check with her before scheduling events to eliminate possibilities of conflicts.
Large Copy Bulletins: We have a small number of bulletins that have enlarged print. Please ask an usher if you need one.
Pledge Cards For 2009 are now available. Please prayerfully consider your tithes and offerings for the upcoming year. Completed pledge cards should be given to treasurer Allan Nisbeth.
NOVEMBER IS UNDIES MONTH! During the month of November, bring in new undergarments for men, women and children, all sizes. These will be donated to Cameron Community Ministries. You will find the collection basket in the hall.
FAIRPORT BAPTIST HOMES CHRISTMAS GIFTS: It is that time of year again when we collect small gifts for the residents of the Fairport Baptist Homes. Please bring in a gift and place it under the tree located in the hall. Suggestions for gifts are as follows: stockings (knee high and thigh high), knee socks, men’s socks, comb and brush set, deodorant, all-occasion cards, stamps, pens, cologne, jewelry, picture frames, lotion, nail kit, nail polish, hair decorations.
THANKSGIVING/BRING-A-FRIEND DINNER: Our annual carry-in dinner will be Sunday, Nov. 23rd. We have invited our city police officers and firefighters to join us on that day, and you are encouraged to invite a friend, too. Plan to join us on this special day of thanks.
New telephone tree: The church telephone tree is being updated. We are finding many disconnected numbers. Please let the church secretary or Audrey White know of new numbers or ways to contact you, including email if you wish.
SWEM, the local food cupboard, is in need of large brown paper grocery bags. If you can donate some, please bring them in and set them next to our cupboard in the hall.

The Red Cross is looking for health professionals to work with disaster relief. See the information on the bulletin board.

Genesee Farmers’ Market starts June 17th: The Westside Farmers’ Market will open every Tuesday, from 4-8 pm June 17th through November 18th at St. Monica Church’s parking lot, 831 Genesee St.
Copies of The Secret Place for Sept.-Nov. are available on the hall table for a small donation.
New Church Directories are available on the hall table. Please, only one per household! Also, any changes/corrections should be directed to the church secretary by calling 436-7250.
Christmas Play: Anyone interested in being a part of the upcoming play, to be performed on Dec. 21st, should plan on meeting with Mary O’Neal and Carol Owens on Sunday, October 19th after the anniversary dinner.

There is a nursery available for babies and toddlers. If your child becomes disruptive during the service, please be respectful of others by taking your child to the nursery or Memorial Parlor.

Partners Program: Genesee Baptist Church has become a member of “Partners Program.” As a member of this program, every time someone comes into a participating auto dealership and mentions that he or she is a member of Genesee Baptist Church and then purchases a new or used vehicle, the dealership will send us $100. Participating dealerships are Webster Chrysler-Jeep, Webster Ford and Greece Ridge Lincoln-Mercury-Nissan. This applies to all church members and their friends.
Bell ringers needed: If you would like to ring the sanctuary bell, call Mary Wilson at 436-7078. She coordinates the bell ringers for each Sunday.
